The complexity of the industrial mixing and separation systems, and the increased costs of conducting experiments have pushed the project owners towards preferring the numerical solution methods. Most of the liquid mixing and separating simulations deal with the multi-phase flows. Liquid simulations have several types such as boiling, cavitation, distribution of multi-phases, immiscible flows, and particulate flows. For any flow to be defined as a multi-phased it must combine at least two phases. For example, ice-water mixtures, blood enzyme tests, clean drinking water filtering systems, etc. are defined as multi-phased flow problems. Being capable of accurately simulating complex problems (i.e., how do liquids, solids, and gasses interact?) thanks to its turbulent and physical models, the ANSYS-Fluent software creates the best forecast for the system performance.
