Software-Defined Vehicles: Navigating the perfect storm across new technologies, processes and people
Abstract:With the rise of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), everything is changing at the same time: new technologies, new development processes and new organizations are disrupting the consolidated automotive products, processes, and workflows. What is the reason behind this change? What are the challenges? How should they be addressed? We will discuss how engineering processes have to be aligned to ensure consistency between system and software design, supported by digital traceability for enhanced safety and quality. We will see how Model-Based Design can be used to design and deploy software to centralized computing platforms and Service-Oriented Architectures, the backbone of SDV. We will see how to leverage simulation and virtualization to find integration issues early. Finally, we discuss how to automate and speed up development through continuous integration with Model-Based Design. Join us to learn how these solutions are enhancing the efficiency, quality, and safety of future Software-Defined Vehicles. |
